University of Rhode Island, where he electrified the state and the
Atlantic 10 Conference...As a sophomore, he was named Honorable Mention
All-America by AP, First Team All-Atlantic 10 and Atlantic 10 Rookie of
the Year after averaging 17.6 ppg, 9.4 rpg and 3.8 apg...He hit a
three-pointer at the buzzer to lead Rhode Island to the Atlantic 10
Tournament Championship by a score of 62-59 over Temple, winning
tournament MVP honors...Odom scored a career-high 28 points against St.
Joseph's, with career highs of 15 rebounds against Brown and 11 assists
against George Washington...In his first college game, Odom just missed
a triple-double with 19 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists against
TCU...In high school, Odom played three seasons at Christ the King in
Queens, NY with his senior season at Redemption Christian Academy in
Troy, NY before attending St. Thomas Aquinas in Connecticut...He was
Parade Magazine's National Player of the Year in 1997...
